About This Game You play a pre-historic caveman, your ultimate objective... to survive! Explore a massive seamless open world, forage for food, hunt animals, and use the complex, realistic crafting system to build new, better and stronger items. Work together with other players to form a community, form a village, and to cooperate and grow as a group! Vantage is a game I have been working on for many years now, and it is the game I have always wanted to play. Since it didn't exist, I decided to create it! So I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoy creating it!Some examples of what you can do in the game:- Craft a large number of objects to help you survive. Everything from sharp stones, to campfires so you don't freeze at night, to primitive huts to live in!- Find wild plants, take their seeds and plant crops to become more self-sustaining.- Create some clothes to keep yourself warm and well protected by skinning dead animals and tanning the hides by going through a realistic primitive leather working process.- And much, much more!Realistic and complex crafting system - Vantage has a in-depth, well researched crafting system using the actual items you need to craft items in the real world. For example, if you wish to build a fire using a hand drill, you need to find the right stick to use as a spindle, create a piece of hearth wood, and forage for some tinder. Then if you are skillful enough, you can make your fire!Hardcore survival / player customization - Make sure you forage for that food or grow some crops, for when you die, your character is gone! But don't despair, when your characters die they earn "player points" you can use to re-customize you next character by buying starting items and boosting your starting skills so you can try anew!Skill-based character progression with many professions - You can try to specialize in one of the many professions, or try to master them all! Some examples are hunting, fishing, leatherworking and farming. You can also become a master bone, wood, or stone maker to help other people's professions along. Work together with other players to make items faster and stronger.Interact with every item in the world - No more playing a game where trees and rocks are just fancy artwork! You can harvest wood from every tree, and pick up every rock you see!Custom game engine creating massive seamless randomly generated worlds - The game uses a custom 3D game engine I created called VantEdit. It generates and renders massively sized worlds of any size I choose, and you get to explore them. Walk in a single direction and you will circumnavigate the globe with no loading screens. The game's current development state:What is completed (of course these will be constantly improved and updated):- The Game's engine:( rendering/ seamless world mechanics etc ). I have refined the engine to be a great vessel in which to create the game. I have spent years on it and helps to give the game the feel it needed to have.- Game Play Mechanics: The game play system is fully implemented as intended, has been tested and is fully playable. Again this only means that the core elements have been completed and I am of course working on improving all aspects of the game. This includes UI framework, Crafting, Skills and Item design, etc...- Networking conversion: This took many years, but I am proud to say that the online version of the game is fully stable. The game now also supports offline servers (for playing single-player), and player hosted dedicated servers that can be publicly displayed to all players around the world.- The Game's Editor tools: Though this is not currently available to players yet, the game's editor is designed to add in new crafts, items and skills easily into the game, as I develop the game I add in new skills, new items, and new crafts into the game. Even though I call this a primitive survival game, I plan to continue to add new content to the game constantly! What does this mean? Well at a certain point I will add in archery, more complex farming mechanics, more building types etc... What will be added in the near future:- PvP: Once the game has been sufficiently tested, I will be finishing the PvP aspect of the game.- More server hosting options: Players who wish to host servers will be able to customize their servers to more specific needs and preferences (making hardcore-only servers, etc...)- Access to VantEdit world editor: Players will be able to host servers with their own procedural generated worlds. They will have the ability to create nearly any size world with the ability to change temperatures, land and continent formations, and much more. This functionality will be later in development, most likely after the full launch. What can be improved:- Artwork: Many of the graphics you see in game are my own "programmer art", simple yet useful art I create in a short amount of time. There are works of art done by professionals in the industry as well however. One goal of hopefully getting the game into Early Access is to hire back some of these artists to get the artwork more professional.- Animation system and attachments: Upgrading the animation system to have it so you can customize you character's physical attributes, actually see objects like shoes and hats being worn on a character etc. As well as have more player models and customization.Future Plans for the GameThe content I can continue to add will never stop! I will run out of primitive technologies and keep moving forward, one item, craft, or skill at a time. So how far can I go? Will the game's technology get to the Roman Era? Medieval? Industrial Era? Modern Era? The game is a constantly evolving, ever changing universe that you exist in. It just all depends on people like you who I hope like, support, and enjoy the idea behind this game. a09c17d780 Title: Vantage: Primitive Survival GameGenre: Indie, Simulation, Early AccessDeveloper:Crystal DragonPublisher:Crystal DragonRelease Date: 22 May, 2018 Vantage: Primitive Survival Game Torrent Download [key Serial Number] vantage primitive survival game let's play. vantage primitive survival game gameplay. vantage primitive survival game igg. vantage primitive survival game download. vantage primitive survival game. vantage primitive survival game let's play. vantage primitive survival game wiki. vantage primitive survival game download. vantage primitive survival game. vantage primitive survival game wiki. vantage primitive survival game скачать. vantage primitive survival game igg. vantage primitive survival game скачать. vantage primitive survival game gameplay Y I K E S. Wouldn't touch this game ever again for the price you pay. $5 game at most selling for $15+. Just horrible all around even for a new game!. Kenshi is a great example of how a game, even if stuck in development for many years, can be an amazing game that delivers on its premise AND delivers on the "fun" factor of a game.Vantage: Primitive Survival, on the other hand... is not. It simply was not fun for me to play it despite enjoying the premise that it is built on, it felt tedious and the interaction controls with items as well as the grind required made me think of Wurm Unlimited\/Online, which sadly in this case is not a compliment. The way the gameplay has been designed and engineered just does not create fun for me, I would have far more fun booting up Stranded 2 than playing this game.So no... I do not recommend it, and I don't care that it's Early Access either. You can't bug fix a bad game flow design, but I genuinely wish you the best of luck and give my best hopes that you make it through Early Access and release an amazing product, Crystal Dragon.EDIT: I would like to emphasize quickly that, my comparison of this game to Kenshi is not meant to be 1:1... I am only contrasting the fact that both have been in development for a long time, and I am not measuring mechanics and genre between the two because that would be silly, both have different goals. It is only to emphasize the point of, "One delivers on a fun game flow and gameplay design, and one does not".. Early Access Review. This game reminds me of Xsyon. The Grind is REAL. You Will Grind Constantly to level crafts very slowly.I like that kind of game.If you don't like spending hundreds of hours in a game to acomplish things through major grinds then stay away.I DO like that kind of boring sht so I reccommend this game.. Yes the game is a grind, as many RPG's are. However the complexity of the grinding and using the various skills and improving them afterward is an ongoing reward for the work. Where I think this game differs from most RPG's even at this early stage is in the depth of the skill/craft progression, an attribute the developer shows every sign of continuing. It takes many hours of working on wood, stone, bone, hide, brushworking skills to rightfully feel I've earnt the crafts that are available already and I'm very much looking forward to seeing where he takes the game further. Hunting and fishing skills improve with use, "Yahoo, I can one shot a wolf with a sling now", and it feels satisfying to know that I can now make a fire in one try nearly every time, its not so easy at first. Add to that a very large world to explore. In short this is very good, relaxed and varied "grind" with appropriate rewards thats already good for an enjoyable few days play. The developer listens, is very dedicated and I am very sure this game will only get better.. If you like crafting, thats a game for you. Its an Early access of course, more content coming but already have lot of things to do and to craft. Dev is on the touch, listen to players and welcome people on the server. World as is vast (25km^2) and have many differents biomes that can affect the player like being cold or sweating. The theme of the Stone Age is really interesting. I just love it.. I can not believe that this game is even on steam? I am a little annoyed as I went off the positive feedback from steam store page. I searched for a decent youtube video, but only one came up and it was hard to determine the quality as the youtuber had the personality of a mushroom and barely demonstrated anything. I should have listened to my gut feeling and not bothered. How anybody could give this game a thumbs up is beyond me and the person who compared this to xsyon, get off the gear buddy. In no way shape or form is this game even in the same universe as xsyon prelude. What an insult!!!I am sorry if i have offended the Developer, but really ???? WHY? HOW AND WHAT THE.....?????Worse game I have ever played in my life! And please dont tell me its because i dont like grind games. I have played games like xsyon & life is feudal, spent long hrs grinding away and enjoyed every second. This game gave me a severe headache !!!! Everything from the walking mechanics, crafting, Fps, graphics thru to the sound effects are very bad, even for an Ea access game. I have played games on Retro machines that are better than this in every way. There is something very awry about this???. It is only to emphasize the point of, "One delivers on a fun game flow and gameplay design, and one does not".. What a waste of time and gaming effort. Starting tools do not last through the first craft so you are stuck with no tools and no item and no way to make a new tool. try to build a fire with your starting items and your item (most likely the stick) will wear out before you get a fire so you have to make a new one which uses up your sharpened stone knife, Funny how a small wooden rod just destroys a piece of stone. s there you are you finally get a fire built but you had to use up your sharpened stone and alas there is no way on this planet to get another, or even find a piece of broken rock with a sharp edge. There is an elusive, mysterious and magical item in the game called a billet that is needed to make any sharpened stone or bone tool, problem is you cannot find one. it is probably crafted in a forge of some type so forget about crafting one folks. Would figure the designer would have at least made it possible to keep playing but after over an hour of looking for one I gave up. Tried several different combinations of charachter equipment and abilities and all ended up at the same result, no tools to do anything with and character left with no tools to scavange for food and water, what fun!!!!. Yes, I know, *finally* ;)I know bug fixing is boring and you hope to be building your own prehistoric metropolis with my next update announcement. And I am excited to start working on content as well. But taking the time to fix bugs, and optimize elements of the game to make it more fun to play is also important, and improves the game play experience as well for many people.Stay tuned!!!. Final Testing for "Hearth and Home" Next Week!: I have finally done all of the work to implement all of the game play mechanics for all the new content for the "Hearth and Home" expansion. The amount of work I needed to do was quite a bit more then I was expecting so adding the content to the game took a little longer than expected. I had to add more items and game mechanics then I expected to, so sorry for that! But I will begin doing the final tests next week and hopefully release the content soon after that! For now my initial tests seem to be great! No major issues at all.I will of course keep you updated! But for now, my brain needs to sleep... :). Year End Summary and Road Map for Next Year!: So I thought I would post a little bit about the before and after of the current game's development for those who are interested! Year End Wrap-up:. Rats are Getting Squished!: Development of the traps is coming along great! I have almost finished the the testing of the trap mechanics, only a few more small implementations to work through.I plan to get the update out next week, barring any large issues. So you can start trapping critters yourselves!Again this may seem like a long time and a lot of work for only a few traps as content. But as I mentioned before, for this update I have implemented some complex item and inventory mechanics which will make interacting with items for all future content much more immersive! The traps for the next update are the first test and implementation of these mechanics.I will of course talk much more about this after the content is released. Stay Tuned!. Vantage Early Access Update 1.0.9 is Live!: This update includes a update to the terrain rendering system, which may greatly improve performance for users! It also includes many bug fixes. As I release each new update, the amount of bugs grows smaller. This means I will be able to focus even more on content soon! And there is even more content being created now which I will announce once more of it has been completed by my artist!. Vantage Pre-Early Access Patch 0.4.5 is live!: This update mainly fixed user interface bugs and upgraded and improved the database system. The next steps will be more focused on play testing and content addition, and this will continue over the course of the summer. You can check out the patch notes here: http://steamcommunity.com/…/discussi…/0/1457328392103896201/. Release Date Planned for Early 2018!: So, for many good reasons I have decided to schedule the release the game for early next year. This makes much more sense for me and the development schedule. However, I do plan to still finish the game development by the end of this year so it can be played and tested by the play testers. This also gives me time to advertise the game and spread the word before release. So the game will hopefully be ready for Early Access by the end of year, and I hope to release it January or February. Stay tuned!. Early Access Update 1.0.1 is Live!: This patch allows you to build a new item, a "primitive wooden table" to display your wares. You can also have the option to reset your world and start anew from your server program! As well as many other additions and bug fixes. No more animal overpopulation should occur! You can read the full patch notes here:https://steamcommunity.com/app/342910/discussions/0/1698300679778067492/. Week 2 Post-Launch Update: This last week I mainly focused on PR, press releases. and general advertising of the game. I participated in a couple of giveaways as well. The response to the game has been amazing so far. People are truly enjoying the game and its game play concept! For the following weeks I will be going back to focusing on optimization, and I will also be beginning the development of the next round of content for the game. Also, stay tuned, there will more music added to the game soundtrack very soon!
